Touch down in Egypt, ready to join an Egyptologist in Cairo for the guided tour of a lifetime. Be mesmerised by the enigmatic Sphinx, Great Pyramid of Chephren and well-preserved Valley Temple. Browse 5,000-year-old relics at the Egyptian Museum, explore Tahrir Square in Old Cairo and more. Catch a flight to Luxor, where you'll be struck with wonder at Luxor and Karnak temples. Board a 4-star vessel for a 4-night cruise along the Nile River with exquisite dining, captivating entertainment and impeccable service. Uncover the gateway to the afterlife at the Valley of the Kings, travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus at Edfu and join an optional tour to Abu Simbel. Hop on a plane to Oman, where the city of Muscat welcomes you with the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and the Muttrah Souq market. Day-by-Day Itinerary

Today, depart for Cairo, Egypt. Due to flight scheduling and availability, some customers may be required to depart on Day 2 and arrive on Day 2. Flight times will be indicated on your final documentation.

Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be met by a representative at the airport and transferred to the hotel.

Overnight: Baron Hotel or similar, Cairo

After breakfast, join the Egyptologist guide for a visit to the enigmatic Sphinx and Pyramids of Giza. At 140 metres high and 220 metres wide at its base, the Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops) is the only survivor of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. Visit the Valley Temple, pyramid of Chephren, the Great Sphinx, and the pyramid of Mykerinus.

Optional Activity: Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) — the largest archaeological museum complex in the world with over 100,000 artefacts including King Tutankhamun's entire treasure collection.

Enjoy a guided tour of the famous Egyptian Museum in Cairo, the richest museum of Egyptian antiquities in the world with pharaonic treasures from over 5,000 years ago. Drive to Old Cairo via Tahrir Square. Visit Coptic Cairo encompassing the Babylon Fortress, the Hanging Church, The Greek Church of St. George and many other Coptic churches and historical sites.

Transfer to Cairo Airport for your domestic flight to Luxor. Upon arrival visit Luxor Temple and the biggest temple in the world, Karnak Temple, dedicated to "God Amun." Transfer to the ship to begin the four-night premium cruise along the Nile River. Enjoy lunch onboard and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Transfer to the West Bank of Luxor to tour the Valley of the Kings, known as the Gateway to the Afterlife. Visit the Temple of Hatshepsut — the Pharaoh Queen. Pass by the famed Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Return to the ship and sail to Edfu, passing the Esna Lock.

Visit the extraordinary Temple of Horus at Edfu, the 'home' and cultural centre of the falcon god Horus of Behdet. Sail to Kom Ombo. Visit the Temples of the Gods Sobek and Haroeris dedicated to both the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon-headed god Horus. Set sail for Aswan.

Relax onboard or join a must-see optional tour to Abu Simbel (2.5–3 hours each way). In the afternoon enjoy a guided tour of the Aswan High Dam. Back on board, enjoy a traditional dinner with the Nubian party.

Optional Activity: Abu Simbel — travel by coach to the impressive Abu Simbel temples with four colossus statues of Ramses II guarding the Great Temple.

Disembark and transfer to Aswan Airport for your internal flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure in the Egyptian capital.

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Oman. Upon arrival, be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure in this beautiful port city known for its mountains, forts, mosques and traditional souks.

Overnight: Muscat Golden Tulip or similar, Muscat

Full-day guided tour of Muscat. Visit The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque (entrance included), built of Indian sandstone with one of the world's largest handmade Persian rugs. Visit the Royal Opera House (entrance included). Admire The Qasr Al Alam Palace. Visit the National Museum (entrance included). Explore the Muttrah Souq, Muscat's oldest market filled with frankincense, spices, traditional handicrafts, silver jewellery, and vibrant textiles.

Travel south via the coast. Visit Bimmah Sinkhole village. Continue to Wadi Shab for a short boat ride, 45-minute walk and swimming in natural crystal-clear pools. Drive to Sur, a traditional coastal town. Arrive at Ras Al Hadd. After dinner, visit Ras al-Jinz Reserve for a night tour to watch turtles laying eggs on the beach.

Head to Wadi Bani Khalid, a stunning natural attraction with year-round flowing water and a natural swimming pool. Board a 4x4 vehicle to Wahiba Sands desert. Drive through spectacular rugged landscapes. Experience dune bashing before heading to the desert camp for dinner under the stars.

Leave the Wahiba desert towards Nizwa, passing Al Mudayrib, a charming traditional village known for its well-preserved watchtowers and historic mud-brick houses. Continue to Ibra, one of the oldest cities in Oman. Arrive in Nizwa, the former capital of the sultanate.

Overnight: Hotel Golden Tulip or similar, Nizwa

Guided tour of the historic Nizwa Fort and souq where stalls offer fabrics, dresses, jewellery, pottery, and ceremonial knives. Visit the popular Nizwa Souq, a vibrant marketplace where skilled silver and coppersmiths create exquisite ornaments. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Travel back to Muscat. Stop at Jabreen Castle, built in 1675, a fine example of Islamic architecture. Visit Bahla, home to the oldest fort in Oman with its 12-kilometre wall (UNESCO World Heritage). Continue to Al Hamra, a 400-year-old town with traditional mud construction houses. Drive to Jebel Shams (Mountain of the Sun) at over 3000 metres and the Grand Canyon of Oman. Visit the village of Nakhar and Misfah with its Beit Al Safah museum.
